Why so? I thought clubs could mutually agree to bring forward a fixture with the permission of FA.
Seems like a splendid idea to me. For me a relaxed train day out with beer or very late night drive without. No contest.

I don't see why not. Exeter brought forward a game last season for just such a reason. In fact, most seasons they're out of the cups so early that if they filled all their free cup weekends their season would be finished in February.
