A lovely bloke who played a big part in our 96 promotion season. He was given a thankless task when Warnock was sacked and never really gave the impression he would be able to stand up to Dan McCauley and be a number one.
But for that Wembley appearance alone, he has a place in Argyle folklore.

Very sad news indeed. Having a wander around GOS the other day came across, and played back, the highlights of our end of season meeting with Burnley in 98 when either team could have got relegated. Mick Jones is interviewed after the game having suffered defeat and therefore relegation. You could clearly see how upset and frustrated he was with some prophetic words on how our great club needed to sort itself out.
