Of all those who have departed over the past couple of seasons he is one I would have preferred us to keep.

Preferred McHugh personally. I remember O'Connor playing right back v Tranmere away and putting in an absolute top drawer cross for Reuben to score. I believe the latter got arrested after in Plymouth out drinking with his brother.

Of all the players mentioned, Joe Bryan is the one we miss the most. Perhaps the best quality player we have had in League Two, and Sheridan did very well getting him down here in hindsight. We haven't had too much quality on the left hand side since.

I agree. He was not a speed merchant on the flank, but he had a cultured left foot. He could work a position with his full back out on the wing and ping in accurate crosses with pace.

I don't see where there is a "preference" angle. I said "he is one I would have preferred us to keep". That is vastly different to me saying "the one".

I didn't mention anything about what you said, merely that when we lost O'Connor Adams came in, played McHugh there and in my opinion played the role better than O'Connor.

While we were on the topic on missing players, Bryan came to mind. He was a class act.

Hiram Boateng goes to Bristol Rovers on loan.

I am not disappointed. His second spell at Argyle in no way matched his first loan period.
