I don't get this argument that it'd be insulting on Nelson just because he's now a fully senior pro.

It's not 'best player to have a breakthrough season' or 'best inexperienced player who hasn't really solidified his spot yet'. It's the best player who is under a certain age line. Nelson qualifies for that age grouping therefore he gets my vote. Simple as that.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the Premier League YPOTY when he was a regular and a high goalscorer in a title winning side. Bale won it last season. Insulting on them?

If Lavery had stayed longer my vote would be with him, however Nelson has been excellent this season compared to previous years. Just hope we can keep him.
