Up to a certain point in my young life, I was convinced everything was actually black and white before a certain time.

What do you mean? It's true! And everyone used to move much faster as well. For proof, just watch old Chaplin/Keaton etc. films. That's why they died younger in the olden days - using up all those heartbeats much sooner.

The Earth is also flat - obvs.
