After beating Bristol Rovers 4-0 seven games ago Hartlepool were our rivals in the play-off race, they moved into 10th place, two points behind us and three points from the top seven.
Now after six straight defeats they are two points away from the trap door. What a turnaround and a team usually drops towards the end of the season and finish in the bottom two.
Let's hope they don't lose against Morecambe on Monday because we are usually quite helpful in giving teams on a losing streak a much-needed win.
From 9th (us) to 23rd place is a difference of just 11 points, a few wins or defeats either way for most of the teams in League Two would see the league table looking very different.
