My 1st game of this Season and i would like to see the new lads do well and prove that spending money on a season ticket is worth it.

I think they will i am confident of a good season

Good performance required. Plenty of chances must be created. A few goals must be scored and a win gained.

None of this 'it's good for shape and fitness' rubbish - we need a win to boost confidence and see us off on the right foot.

I fear we will be on here after the final whistle dissecting another mediocre performance with the usual 'it's only a friendly' .... 'not a ball kicked in anger yet' excuses .....but hope I'm proved wrong.

I really like the look of Allen. I'd want to see him in there from the start.

Your team would have two left-footers at CB, which I'd ideally try and avoid.

And also, selecting Nelson in midfield would be pointless, as I highly doubt he'll play in there even once this season. He'll be a mainstay at CB (barring injuries), so that's where he'll be placed if he does indeed feature.

On reflection, maybe I'd go for this:
