A directors wife says...

This is the rumours section so I fully expect this to be shot down in flames... but here goes...

My mum encountered through a work colleague the wife of an Argyle director. She mentioned what was said about Argyle to me...

- The current problems started when Stapleton was forced to step back by Toddy. Stapleton has apparently become quite frustrated with some of the decision made by the board.

- The financial problems are not as bad as some people think, they are being sorted

- The club are considering the future of Peter Reid as they feel he is under performing

- They believe that Ridsdale is the best way for the club to get out of the current problems.

Strange,i thought our problems started when Stapes was in charge.It wasn't Mrs Stapleton talking to your mum,was it?

Sounds like it.

Stapes didn't have an 'obsession' with bringing Luggy back, it was quite the opposite. It was a poorly thought out, knee-jerk reaction as a result of a sudden change in circumstance.
