Mickey Evans only cost around £30,000 I think (although probably on good wages).
I can't imagine the club paid much for Tommy Tynan either.

I think Ryan Hardie would be a bargain at £200K or whatever Blackpool want for him. Its all very well me saying that when its not my own money I'm spending though !

David Norris, £20,000.

Won the Division Two title with Argyle, was player of the season in the Championship, made nearly 250 appearances, sold for £2,000,000, made captain at Ipswich by Roy Keane.

If only we could invest £20,000 that wisely every time. The last £20k player we invested in was Nathan Blissett.

I would say Ebanks-Blake was a good buy. Purchased for £250k then sold for 8x times that amount in 18 months time.

We had to pay Bolton a significant sell-on fee when we sold Norris. We tried to re-negotiate with Bolton which delayed the transfer but they wouldn't budge.

I'm pretty sure that when we originally signed him the fee was £50,000 without a sell-on clause but only £25,000 with one; we opted for the latter.

A lot of our Championship signings, including wee nuggets found by Luggy. Plus other more recents:

Mackie
Noone
Bolasie
Ebanks-Blake
Halmosi
Puncheon
Buzsaky
Wright-Phillips
Hourihane
Barnes

All either sold for excellent profit or went on to play at a much higher level/sold for millions. Acquired by Argyle for relative pennies.
