A lot of credit must go to Argyle and the Dewsnip/Nancekivell management team for finishing the season so strongly - they won 10 points from their 6 games in charge, which is higher than any of the top 7 clubs over the same period:

Leicester, 9 points
Ipswich, 9 points
Leeds, 4 points
Southampton, 9 points
WBA, 7 points
Norwich City, 9 points
Hull City, 9 points

They had to do this however because the teams around Argyle were overall getting more points than those fighting for promotion:

Stoke, 11 points
QPR, 10 points
Blackburn, 8 points
Shef Weds, 14 points
Birmingham, 8 points

Personally, I still think Argyle should be looking for a new management team for next season, but what an achievement for all concerned.

Looking at those stats we’ve done really well to survive despite the Foster interlude.

They know the Argyle formula inside out
Certainly a special partnership where their respect for each other is obvious
You can see why our players hold them in such high regard
Our players have certainly played for them since the day our previous Head Coach was relieved from his duties

If they had managed all season on the PPG they attained over the 2 periods we would have been mid table around 60 points👏👏👏.

Fantastic from both of them.. Not sure they could do a full season though. They looked knackered😁👏

Dewsnip and Nance were known to the players who gave them 100% when it mattered because they trusted them They both deserve a lot of praise for the way they rallied the squad and got us over the line against the odds . Brilliant!

I was hoping someone would do the maths on that one!

Just shows what we can achieve despite our limited resources.
