I can also remember us beating Wolves, and it had 'Kevin Hodge dances with Wolves', about ten minutes after he scored the only goal (from memory).

Good grief! I can remember that! It must've happened soon after I started watching Argyle with my father. :grin:

What's even more impressive about that photo is the amount of away fans Southend appeared to bring!! Good times though. Have to admit it brings back some very fond memories. I know we shouldn't look back but Home Park always oozed character for me back in its more 'natural' state.

I remember in the span of a season (possibly 91/92), the announcement when a goal was scored changed from "GOAL!!!!" to "HOMEGOAL!!!/AWAYGOAL!!!" and back to "GOAL!!!!". That always struck me as a bit strange.
