1) Ryan Broom's slide & swim

2) Crewe's Chris Porter missing a completely open goal against us in Feb 2020 (we went on to win 2-1) accompanied by the most laughter I've ever heard ringing out around Home Park

3) People queuing for Covid vaccinations getting mixed up in the queue for Argyle Season Ticket collections. Proper Plymouth!

Oh I’d forgotten Porter’s miss. That was glorious!

Earl Jean against Chesterfield, I think, & new to Home Park, scored at the Barn Park end & celebrated in front of the fans at that end - by the time he’d realised they were the away fans he ran after his teammates who, by that time, had given up trying to celebrate with him, so he hugged the ref!

1985/86 promotion season, evening game, I don't remember the opposition but a small dog ran onto the pitch and the DE sang 'One Jack Russell, there's only one Jack Russell...'

Hilarious!

I guess you had to be there.

Home match between 02 and 04 a fan in the Devonport End shouting to a rather large ref 'You got bigger mammaries than my wife', said fans wife was stood beside him, so there was only one way to respond... 'Oh yeah, prove it!'
Sadly she declined

One of the seagulls that frequented the old grandstand roof slipped off in the rain once. It was quite comical seeing it trying to regain its feet as it slowly slipped down from the apex but it was obviously able to fly away as it tumbled over the edge at the bottom so no harm done.

85-86 season I think...Wigan away...we took a bigger amount away than the locals were expecting (nothing new there)... the away end was part terrace part field. Before the game a slightly (ok a lot) inebriated argyle fan came by us at the front by the fence and said he was going to 'see the team'. He climbed the fence (watched by an inept steward) wandered around the pitch and up the tunnel (I vaguely remember a flat hat policeman being there that just ignored him).
Some minutes later the players came out for the pre-match kick about(none of this modern cones and drills) followed by this guy who then 'joined in' before finally being escorted off the pitch.
As a young teenager watching this all unfold was hilarious. It was like the Wigan folk had never seen a crowd before.

It got a bit hairy later (not so funny) as they battered us, with loads of Argyle fans getting into the home end bit by bit, watching before making there presence known... very different times!

At the very beginning of the 1960-61 season the two teams lined up to kick-off. But before he would signal the start the referee strode across to the home dugout and gave someone an ear bashing. On his way back he spoke to Peter Anderson who had lined up on the left. Peter started to walk to the other side and at the same time Bill Wright, who had lined up on the right, started to come the other way. I saw it happen but thought no more of it. Then, in 2008 I started some deep research into that era. I came across a piece in a Sunday Independent which referred to the referee's actions prior to kick-off on the opening day. It reported that the referee had told our manager, Jack Rowley, that our number 7 (Anderson) and our 11 (Wright) had not lined up in their correct positions. Rowley tried to explain it was a tactical thing but Mr Kingston would have none of it. It was a trick Argyle tried very often in games but obviously only after they had kicked-off.

In the midst of the mad cow crisis, after an extraordinary decision by the ref, some bright spark shouted 'the referee's got BSE'. Which then became a chant. Of it's time, but very funny!
“He’s eaten beef, beef and more beef, the referee’s got BSE” I remember it well!

Away Cheltenham,26th December 2022,I booked tickets from over here, because I didn’t got away tickets from Argyle.
So I booked the home area, just by side from the away supporters.
Me and my son sat just separated from a red and white ribbon to the Green Army.
One Guard came and stands close behind us,and says: nothing will happen,I am here and take care of you two. 👍
Then i opened my jacket and showed him my Argyle shirt…
Very funny that.😅
