That’s pretty close to pitch as far as I’m concerned which will help with the atmosphere and should make it more intimidating than if there was a big gap between the pitch and the first row of seats..

Agreed, this was the main point of my original post.

An away bench/manager never used to get an easy time on the old mayflower terrace, for too long away teams have had an easy ride having no one sat directly behind them.
