Not really Justin, he's nearly 25 and just had a poor season at a relegated team. Not many fans would want him back next season and that is in League Two. I'd probably say he is a Conference to League Two level keeper with some glaring flaws in his game. Arsenal invested a lot of time in him but he is clearly nowhere near what they require from a third choice keeper. His Arsenal background proves nothing except they thought he had a lot of potential at one stage, the fact he was on loan at Argyle in the third tier and got relegated shows that they realised his level towards the end.
Wrong Knibbsworth.
When he signed for Arsenal from Bristol Rovers there were lots of Premier clubs after him. Everton wanted him, lots of Championship clubs too.
Why?
Height, athleticism, distribution, shot stopping. The modern goalie. Massive potential.
Initially in 2013 he signed a 4 year contract with Arsenal. He played for the first team and was in and around the first team squad.
He impressed enough to sign a new contract with Arsenal in 2017.
You can’t place his level judged only by a season on loan to a club having a disastrous season, one which saw a calamitous, constantly changing back 4 in front of him. A nightmare scenario. And you can’t make him a scapegoat for what happened. That’s just weak, ignorant, or both.
He definitely has a bright future in the game.
