This set me thinking back, as I cannot even recall many former Argyle players with place names, as their surnames. I know neither had big careers in the first XI, but I remember Frank Arundel and Colin Buckingham. Any more?

Nearly the same era, Dudley Barry, perhaps our best ever reserve who did not make a first team appearance. More recently, and away from Argyle there was Clarke Carlisle.
