Jordan Trott is playing in Finland

In which team?

I heard somewhere that he was in Sweden couple of months ago.

Correct. He spent this year's Swedish League season with Junsele IF. Not read anything about a move to Finland.

Slightly off theme but can anybody tell me what has happened to Sawyer, who did not take up his renewed contract offer a couple of seasons back and moved on to Bristol Rovers. The Sunday Indy shows he is not being picked and nor is he a sub. Has he a bad injury perhaps?

He was sent off quite recently, maybe he is suspended?

Gary returned to training with the Gas last Thursday, after an ankle injury.

I see Bolasie has now amassed about 15 mins all season. Good move - getting paid though I suppose. Didn't Bolasie threaten to pull his ''I can go whenever - no pay'' joker card to get a quick cheap move ?

Of interest - well a little - I see Gow has gone to India ? (or somewhere over that way)

Seip? Tellingly none of them have got a move of any note and have found their respective levels.

I would have thought that going from the bottom four in League One to the Scottish Premier League is a move of at least some note, and three of Argyle's outcasts achieved that. I'd say all of those who have found new clubs have made upwards or at least sideways moves, in terms of status. Jim Paterson is a possible exception, but he has still joined a full-time professional club and he is likely to be playing European football at Tottenham this week. That's not a bad gig. And all of them are being paid...

The two without clubs (Timar and Seip) can afford to bide their time, I'd suggest.

As mentioned on another thread last week, Timar's last mention in the Hungarian media saw him linked with both Walsall and Vecsesi FC, a second-tier club back home.

Seip has not been mentioned in the Dutch media since he was spotted training with Heerenveen last month.

Seeing as most of them were signed as Championship players on Championship wages that is open to dispute! Even the Scottish Premier is probably lower in standard than Championship.

He used his right to leave, just as he was entitled to. And Gow is at 'Kingfisher East Bengal' according to some site on google.

Liam Head and Jordan Trott weren't youth players though were they? Trott was given a 6month contract which wasn't extended in December. Liam was out injured at his club last time i heard?

Missed out Ollie Chenoweth, the young keeper who was on the bench many times last year.

Ollie also went briefly to Yeovil (I think) but wasn't retained by them; I am not sure where he is now.

At the GT's Open Day on the Sunday before this season, I bumped into Ro, who remarked that he was disappointed that Ollie had been released. Don't forget that Ollie was being paid a pittance (actually he was being paid f*&% all but he was owed a pittance), so getting rid of him didn't save very much at all. I do remember seeing Ollie and his family pay to get into a pre season match, I think it may have been Ro's testimonial or maybe the Truro match.

Maybe now that Ro is First Team coach, he might get Ollie back on the books as he was, by all accounts (including Ro's), a pretty promising 'keeper...

according to match report threads Chenoweth played for us against Yeovil today. Given permission by his current club Bideford. you moght be right!!

From the Herald

FORMER Argyle defender Krisztian Timar is on trial at Bristol Rovers.

The Hungarian, released by the Pilgrims at the end of last season, played for Rovers reserves in a 4-4 draw with Brentford yesterday.

I've done a bit of googling to see where all the players we released went. I hope this helps NG

Code:

Karl Duguid Contract Expiry Colchester United
Bondz N'Gala Free Yeovil Town
Chris Clark Contract Expiry Aberdeen
Kari Arnason Contract Termination Aberdeen

Joe Mason £250k Cardiff City
Yannick Bolasie Undisclosed Bristol City
Luke Summerfield Contract Expiry Cheltenham Town

Stephane Zuber Contract Termination Bournemouth

LOANS

PLAYER CLUB
Rory Patterson Linfield
Damien Johnson Huddersfield

I don't know where Timar (was reported to be looking for a club in Hungary) and Seip (trained with Truro City) went, I assume they are both unattached. Also released youth players Liam Head and Jordan Trott who I assume have found no club.

This thread alone should finally make the Sturrock sympathisers wake up. Look at the shocking players he signed who no one else is interested in, and worst of all he signed these players when we were in the Championship! He played these people instead of Barnes, Puncheon, Noone etc. What a shocking manager he was 2nd time round, although many defend him 2nd tiem round because of what he did in his 1st spell, they were 2 very different times. Duguid and Jim Patterson in centre midfield.........honestly in what world was this a good idea??
