Kieran Maguire of the Price of Football podcast has reported on the financial details of League One clubs for season 2022/2023:
Average revenue: £10.3 million.
Average wage bill: £8.6m.
Average weekly wages £3,600.
Average losses: £4.3m.

Argyle's average weekly wage was £3,802, the seventh highest in L1.
The Greens had the lowest wages to revenue ratio at 62%, Forest Green Rovers were at 65% and the highest was Charlton Athletic at 105%.
Argyle spent £965,000 on player purchases, the fourth highest in L1, behind Bolton, Portsmouth and Ipswich Town.
The total cost of the Argyle squad was at £1,084,000, ten clubs had a higher cost including Sheffield Wednesday at £1,960,000 and Ipswich at £16,145,000.

Borrowings/loans (mainly from club owners) was at a total of £250m, Argyle had the sixth lowest at £151,000.

Does the average weekly wage include non playing staff, if so I would say we are one of the lowest for players wages , we seem to have a lot of non playing employees most of whom are chiefs.

That’s the total for all of League One - not just us!😁
Still an eye watering amount for the third tier though.
That is an average borrowing of £10.4m per club, so Argyle’s, at £151,000, is very reasonable by comparison.
All in all, I think our figures are impressive, particularly when you consider we beat the lot of ‘em to the title!
Definitely out thinking the opposition.

£151,000 is very reasonable but it slightly masks the fact that SH has put money into the club as equity over recent times. We are not yet sustainable, which remains the aim, unless I'm mistaken.
