On the very few occasions I've seen Aimson he's looked by far our best defender. Let's not give up on him yet - unless it's a career ending injury on course. No-one seems to be letting on, except that it's a 'pelvic injury' (whatever that means) and that he'll be ready 'soon'. Does anyone know more?

Back to rumours.. interesting that Brett Pitman didn’t feature in Pompeys EFL trophy squad against Scunthorpe... makes me think he’s on the move somewhere.

Lowe did say he liked him but has also said they’ll be no further signings unless someone leaves.. well Tafari Moore has left so maybe if someone like a Taylor were to leave on loan it would free up wages for someone like Pitman who in my view would guarantee promotion if we signed him and he played..

No such thing as "guaranteed promotion" until the table says so.

Swindon have now lost Yates ( recalled by Rotherham) as well as Doyle so I’d hazard a guess Pitman more likely will be going to The County Ground then HP....

Swindon have just signed Carlisle striker Hallam Hope, he's scored 3 goals in 30 games this season so not quite the best replacement for Doyle or Yates.

Not for me, Clive.

Both are good players at this level, but Pitman is 31, high wage, unknown how he’ll settle down here and little to no resale value. Coops is 23, seems to love it down here, can play in a few positions, looks a good bet to go on to bigger and better things (with us or elsewhere).

If we have to choose, I’d take Cooper every time.
