Surely one of the easiest games he'll ever have to officiate, but still, he was very good.

I think it is often down to the ref how 'easy' it is. If he gets the decisions (genrally) right the players/management trust him and there is less contention or wayward tackles of retribution etc.

Or didn't make an impression as the case was.

He just let the game flow and was fair with the decisions

A couple of strange decisions, but other than that, I hardly noticed him.

I think we’ve had him before, and he was good then too.

So much better than the dross we normally get!
