Very interesting figures and some depressing ones
But amongst the figures one stands out for me and that is the difference between first and second half performances. Yes there are other issues but the simple fact is that if our second half performances had matched the first half performances we would now be in the promotion play offs rather than 18th.
Yet this is not often analysed either in Ryan Lowe’s comments or here. It is a top priority to put right for next season.

The statistics that Postey has listed are most illuminating and are a useful pointer to the type of player that we need to recruit.

For some, data analytics serve little purpose in recruitment for others it is a useful starting point to match the requirements needed, particularly if you are looking for defenders.

For example, one particular player for his club this season averages the most clearances, has made the second-most number of blocks, has won the most aerial duels, the third-most interceptions. he also has the highest number of passes per game (over 50 per game). All qualities that would serve Argyle very well.

He is a captain, 29 years old and has extensive experience in the Championship, League One and League Two. He is also out of contract this season.

The player is Sonny Bradley. If only ......
