I think PS is into the Club for about 350K, lot of money to lose.

Stick Dennerly down for the same amount.

Double it and add some for Tony Wratthall.

Things maybe just havn't worked out but they have put their dough in.

When you consider their personal wealth they've done all they can???

In the last accounts Stapleton had put in least of all, even Dennerley, and I think it was £125k. We dont know what he has received from share sales and consultancies however.

Granted that things have probably changed since but where does your information come from?

Quite frankly I wouldnt believe a word any of them have to say when it comes to money, so I dont believe Stapleton is £350k down on Argyle. I would hazard a guess that he has made money from Argyle in fact, lots of it.

Are you saying you never would?

Careful here guys, the accountants haven't got us into this mess. They just present the information they are provided with. The managers/directors have got us into this mess.

As for Stapleton, he's not a wealthy man but has been putting a lot of his own cash into PAFC. Personally I think we should be directing our anger elsewhere. He's done well for this club over the years.

You've been mugged mate - this guy is as guilty as the rest!!

Bandy you're being very harsh. He is nowhere near as culpable. You forget where stapleton led up in the first place. We pleaded him to seek investment and he did. It hasn't worked out but who would have known? We were all taken in by the new world.

With all due respect, after the first season back in the CCC the club was running on empty but instead seeking the moneymen he just couldn't let go and lumbered us with the organic growth model - a couple of lucky seasons then he decides that being painted into a corner needs very rich people to bail us out, look what happened!! Oh yes, how wonderful he's been for our club!!

i think in the grand scheme of football, a 500k second home does not put you in the "wealthy" category!

Quite. And who knows how that was funded or what mortgages are charged on it. I know for a fact that PS is distraught at the current situation.

So am I but I can't do a lot about it.

Wozzer, I respect your posts on here, but what power does PS have at the club? I fear he has very little say.

Anyway, Merry Christmas!

PS ran the club until 18 months ago. He had lots of "say" then. He has led the horse to water.

I think you'll find that PS is most vociferous only when things are going swimmingly at Argyle. Apart from that, you'll generally never hear anything from him.

Merry Christmas to you as well mate.

Surely as deputy Chairman he has some power.

No, not really, it's just a title. Think that Todd/Gardener just wanted to retain him in that role as a link between old and new.

PS is distraught at the current situation.

He didn't appear too distraught at Blackpool last season. He appears to have long ago lost the fan part of him for the ego-boosting (vice-)Chairmanship 'important person sitting in director's box' part.

I bet he's distraught about the staff wages too!

I suspect his only concern is most probably how much he'll lose when Argyle are liquidated, and the fact that he'll have to PAY to watch a football match in the future and won't be in the director's box again.
