Where have you been Tonsk!

If the law does not change and Shrewsbury are still in the Championship in three years time, then they will have to remove said safe standing seats, won't they?????

They will be able to lock all the seats in the down position to comply with current legislation...... and the fans will still stand

A locked down safe standing seat is still a safe standing seat, which will not comply with the legislation, LC.

They will have to replace them all.

I'm no expert but seats in the locked DOWN position are seats. It was designed that way so that German clubs could comply with Champions League all seated stadium rules. Our legislation says everyone must have a seat (and sit in it). There is nothing to say that the rails shouldn't be there.

These locked down seats do not comply with current seating requirements.........
Which are?

The national SGSA has guided local Safety Advisory Groups (SAGs) not to allow rail seats to be used as ‘permanent’ seating.

What makes it even more ridiculous is that the law and rules only apply to England and Wales and not Scotland. Celtic have a ‘safe standing’ section which is used for domestic games but converted to seats for European games.

Truly ridiculous.

We have the authorities deliberately turning a blind eye around the country to an unsafe practice - standing in seating areas, just asking supporters to topple forward - and yet here's a patently safer alternative which is rejected.

Everybody knows it. Political correctness gone mad.
