Updated Sunday 4th March
My latest "Current table plus form guide" once again predicts Argyle will finish 5th providing everyone plays out the remainder of the season to the same standard as their current form. This table also suggests that 70pts may be enough for 6th. Let's hope the bubble doesn't burst just yet!

Wigan Athletic 67 + 28 = 95
Blackburn Rovers 73 + 21 = 94

Rotherham United 62 + 32 = 94
Shrewsbury Town 68 + 21 = 89
Plymouth Argyle 53 + 26 = 79 :scarf:
Bristol Rovers 49 + 21 = 70

Peterborough United 50 + 18 = 68
Charlton Athletic 51 + 16 = 67
Scunthorpe United 57 + 8 = 65
Gillingham 46 + 19 = 65
Portsmouth 49 + 11 = 60
Southend United 44 + 16 = 60
Walsall 44 + 14 = 58
Bradford City 50 + 8 = 58
Blackpool 42 + 15 = 57
Doncaster Rovers 42 + 12 = 54
Oxford United 42 + 11 = 53
Northampton Town 38 + 15 = 53
AFC Wimbledon 38 + 14 = 52
Oldham Athletic 39 + 12 = 51

Fleetwood Town 37 + 10 = 47
Bury 29 + 12 = 41
Rochdale 26 + 13 = 39
MK Dons 32 + 6 = 38

Crikey, an Argyle-Rovers final would pretty much sell Wembley out I reckon. :silent:

Yes it would. Typical Rovers making a late run for the playoffs. I was surprised to see them coming up on the rails. The form of many of the teams in and around the playoffs is so poor anything is possible. Time will tell.

10 to play.
23 points from the last 10 games we've played (7 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss). If repeated 54+23=77pts.
Interestingly, in the latest table below the number of points that could be required to claim 6th has dropped below 70. Therefore 5 wins and 1 draw from 10 games might be enough!
Today’s result keeps us in contention. However Peterborough's form may be on the rise (under Steve Evans). Our games against Bristol Rovers(7th) and the Peterborough (6th) are looking like real six pointers.

UPDATED CURRENT + FORM TABLE UPDATED 10/03/18
Blackburn Rovers 76 + 20 = 96
Wigan Athletic 68 + 23 = 91

Shrewsbury Town 71 + 20 = 91
Rotherham United 62 + 26 = 88
Plymouth Argyle 54 + 23 = 77
Peterborough United 53 + 15 = 68

Bristol Rovers 50 + 18 = 68
Gillingham 49 + 18 = 67
Scunthorpe United 58 + 8 = 66
Charlton Athletic 51 + 15 = 66
Southend United 45 + 14 = 59
Bradford City 50 + 8 = 58
Portsmouth 49 + 8 = 57
Blackpool 42 + 14 = 56
Walsall 44 + 11 = 55
Northampton Town 39 + 16 = 55
AFC Wimbledon 41 + 13 = 54
Oldham Athletic 40 + 13 = 53
Doncaster Rovers 43 + 9 = 52
Oxford United 42 + 10 = 52

Rochdale 32 + 15 = 47
Fleetwood Town 38 + 8 = 46
Bury 30 + 13 = 43
MK Dons 32 + 6 = 38

Some tough games.coming up, but that means it's also in our power to keep rivals at bay.
Perhaps not six-pointers yet, but four- or five-pointers perhaps.

10 to play (updated 13/03/18).

Therefore 5 wins from 10 games might be enough! Hopefully injuries don't derail us.
Tonight’s stoppage time winner for Peterborough means they have closed on us.
Needless to say Saturday’s game against Bristol Rovers(7th) is a big match.

I think 'massive' would be more appropriate! :scarf:

I know John Cleese would say ‘ welcome to the college of the bleedin obvious’, but Scunthorpe, Rotherham and Charlton are proving that consistency is the key over the run in. Who would have expected Scunthorpe to draw 4 and lose one, or Rotherham to lose two in a row. Charlton’s demise with their injury problems was more predictable. Next three games are massive.

It’s in our own hands, considering who we still have to play.

Personally think we’ll end up 8th or so but hope i’m wrong.

Rovers on Saturday very important. Momentum is everything and 3 points will show we still have it, despite dropping points at Fleetwood. If we lose or draw, we could start stuttering.

Posh running back into form at exactly the right time.

9 to play (17/03/18).

22 points from the last 9 games we've played (7 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss). If repeated to the end of the season 57+22=79pts.

The number of points that could be required to claim 6th remains below 70.
Therefore 4 wins from 9 games might be enough!
Wigan, Rotherham and Peterborough are the other 3 teams in playoff spots.

We won't continue current form into the end of the season but more importantly now we are in a position where other teams need to beat us so draws with Charlton pompey and Peterborough wouldn't be the end of the world for us but we still have Rotherham and Gillingham who could be dark horses

Agree with you Eden.

Peterborough have some tough looking away fixtures with visits to Rotherham, Shrewsbury, Blackburn and Argyle.

7th place Gillingham 49 + 18 = 67

Last match of the full season for Argyle ... Away to Gillingham

And if Gillingham are in 7th place, pushing to catch Peterbro', that could be a difficult game for Argyle

....
Rochdale 34 + 12 = 46
Also, Argyle's re-arranged game against Rochdale could be a difficult game for Argyle, with Rochdale still fighting for safety.

No easy games for Argyle ...

Rather be playing the teams around us as we generally are than top 3 or bottom 6 who will all be fighting for every point.

Also we have points in the bag, rather than midweek games, so injury may be less of a problem, as more time to recover etc.

However no easy team in the playoffs, top 4 all look hard games if we manage to get there.
