Sunderland 0-1 Walsall in the FA Cup. Walsall through to the third round. Guess who had already booked a trip to Plymouth :-0

Good time to bed any new players into the squad.

Give them a run out against Newquay in the SWPL.
Perhaps they could switch the game from Newton Abbot to Home Park!

On second thoughts least I will be able to actually enjoy a Saturday afternoon in Plymouth now.

I wonder if DA will try and do a bit of warm weather training that week, 11 days between the Oxford and Southend games.

Good call

Why reward them for failure?

Don’t see it as a reward, I see it as getting the group together to bond and work on new things. Mentally the players may need it to get the confidence back. I think it would help us psychologically. Also if we’e signed any new players in Jan it would give them a chance to feel part of the squad.

Might do the players good to get away for a bit too.

The bonding in Holland in preseason worked well! Nothing to do with confidence, poor players will be the same regardless of how warm the weather is.
