I genuinely pleased you stayed up not all that keen on Brum. Thanks for that. For the next time, we’re called Argyle 😊
I remember that game! I was about 9 or 10 - all the Welsh boys were belting out "One team in Wales" and think they all ran into the pitch at the final whistle. I thought we were big time being in MOTD!I genuinely pleased you stayed up not all that keen on Brum.
Cardiff and Bristol City least said about them pair the better.
I have a soft spot for the Gas as my dad supported them as a kid.
But Argyle are a good club was our first appearance on match of the day 1979 2.2 we went up so all the best.
I was at that game, stood under the old floodlight pylon in the corner between the The Devonpot and Lyndhurst. My one and only television appearance to date. I was the kid in the blue parka.I genuinely pleased you stayed up not all that keen on Brum.

There’s a lot of blue parkas. Also shocking second to let in, same old argo.I was at that game, stood under the old floodlight pylon in the corner between the The Devonpot and Lyndhurst. My one and only television appearance to date. I was the kid in the blue parka.
Thanks for posting that a pretty impressive away end I was 12 and still one of my favourute away trips as a Swans fan. There’s a lot of blue parkas. Also shocking second to let in, same old argo.
A bit of a howler from Chris Harrison for their second after he played a big part in Argyle's first. Brian Bason couldn't half hit a ball. That was a very good Swansea team led by Toshack. Three promotions in about 4 seasons from the 4th tier to the top tier, each time through finishing in 3rd place.
Their descent back to the 4th tier was equally rapid.
Cheers buddy all the best for next seasonCongratulations on staying up looking forward to a trip to Home Park. August first game would be nice.

I used to work it selling pasties and Bovril out of the little hut at the back in the early 90s. Coppers ate free most games, it was pretty rough at times.

🤣Yes Crudgie in goal great keeper
I think Ian Callighan was pulling the strings in midfield as well.
3 promotions in 4 seasons and back down to the 4th in the folliwing 4.
Did it a 2nd time then nearly went out of the league sending Exeter down instead.
No complaints though just don't fancy going back to the bottom just yet
