I was looking through some old Argyle photos today and wondered what happened to some of the old Argyle signs which were from the original facade.

I know it's going on 15 years since the Plymouth Argyle sign was replaced but I thought maybe some of the older fans might recall what happened to them. As the facade is now staying it would be wonderful if the old signs could be found and put back in place as per the original.

Good point. I'm delighted that this structure is being kept in the first place, but you could make it look even more fabulously retro with those old signs or a replica.

Let's hope they've been kept, but with space being at a premium I fear they haven't.

20 pence when I first started going. Used to do a milk round from 4am to get the money. Bus, entrance fee, bovril half time and bus home.

All on the 50p.

Good days. I used to get in at half time for 10p. Not sure where my money ended up, but a bargain for an 11 year old.

Me! I've photos of that one - it was put up on 10 Jul 2002 but then removed in the following few weeks - I seem to remember the club were instructed to do so, and have just spotted IJN's post. That rings a bell - something about it be confrontational! A good wind-up for Luton fans though! Another photo shows that by Aug 12 it just said Div. II.

And got the poo kicked out of me by Chelsea when they run the Devonport End. Lost a shoe and my bus fare home. Walked home to Ernesettle with one shoe.... Mum went mad and I wasn't allowed to go for a month. I was about 13 at the time.
