I believe we will need 83 points. I reckon we will obtain 14 points from here which makes 82. So in my view we are dependant on others falling away.

we now have 68 points, Cambridge finished with 68 points last season, in 9th place, so therefore it is unlikely we will finished below 9th place.

Looking at the max points total (88) of positions 4 - 7 and the inconsistency of these teams, I cannot see the points needed for 3rd being more than 80. 78 is likely to be sufficient.

Unless some one of course goes on a storming run.

We can still get promoted for the Accrington at Home match after tonights results now we have maintained the healthy ten point lead.

After Morecombe we could be 13 points clear with 8 matches left - possible 24 points remaining

After Doncaster we could be 16 points clear with 7 matches left - possible 21 points remaining

Accrington Stanley at home leaves us 19 points clear with 6 matches left - possible 18 points remaining

After Accrington we have Crawley Town Away then Portsmouth Away followed by Newport at home.

With the 10 point gap to 4th place (8 if Luton win their game in hand), I think 3 more wins will be enough for Argyle. If they get those wins then Carlisle would need to gain 20/27 points from their remaining 9 games or Luton would need 20/30 points from their 10 games (assuming that the goal differences remain similar to now) which would be a pretty sensational finish in either case. The sooner we can pick up those wins the better...
