How does this effect overseas viewers, i can not see anything in the Argyle announcement and nothing on the Sky link.

There is nothing to suggest that the club won't continue to offer ATV for overseas subscribers.

I assume it is still the season ticket-like money-spinner that it was when they launched it; more so if they turn a blind eye to individual match passes bought with a UK credit card, which would not stand up to too much scrutiny; and even more so since they packaged it into a higher Evergreen price, where the extra advantages are Everdwindling.

Sky cannot broadcast to us, so as long as the club retains its overseas rights I am guessing the service is perfectly sustainable and the money they are getting from Sky to give up domestic rights will far outweigh the costs of producing ATV.

(On a side note, I wonder if the ATV feed will now have to go through a Sky "hub". Remember the frustration (still happens) of feeds going down and all complaints being referred to problems with the iFollow hub?)

We will have to wait and see but my guess is they will cut the price for the first season to Ā£10 for a day pass so as not to pee off previous ifollow and individual club TV subscribers, it would certainly make sense to.
Why would they? Pay Ā£10 to watch Argyle live, 1x game or Ā£11.99 to watch 24 hours of all Sky Sport channels. Ā£11.99 is still better value for money.
Iā€™d ask if Argyle will still be able to offer full match replays as early as the next morning for Ā£5.50 per month?

It may not be economic for the club to continue to invest so much in the quality broadcast of Argyle TV if far more people will be watching on sky (and I suspect sky are going to want their pound of flesh and insist clubs put far stronger measures in place to prevent use of VPN - eg requiring a credit card with an address matching the country of the IP address you are watching from)
Iā€™ve lived in France for six years and never used anything but a British credit card with British address, so think your point may not hold water.

As a Argyle TV monthly subscriber if there are any changes to the T & C's of my subscription they would have to notify you

So long as i am able to have access to audio commentary of every game & watch full match replays the following day i will be happy

The thing that I have not seen answered, which doesn't effect me anyway, is what about the overseas ATV subscriber.

OG, Mat, and others have moaned this year that they couldn't watch Argyle games shown on SKY. Next year they are all on SKY!

Nowtv currently give 50% price discounts to subscribers who commit to 6 months. Iā€™m paying Ā£17.49 pcm until the end of May, when Iā€™ll cancel.

IF that sort of incentive continues, then this could be a fair value proposition for UK viewers - if we stay up of course. Every midweek league game shown plus perhaps a weekend game every other week. League Cup too.

ATV costs Ā£10 per midweek game.

If Sky just charged Ā£5 a game, they'd probably reduce the demand for hooky streams by a fair bit. The 3pm ban is possibly past it's 'sell by date' at the higher levels of the game too. The demand for tickets will still be high.

Unenforceable as its not a criminal offence in the UK to access region locked content

The dead hand of commercialisation strikes again.. Fewer Sat 3pm kick-offs so harder for fans like me to attend. Paying Sky to watch and listen to their "clichƩd" slant on Argyle as they take on the "big clubs". As you can tell I'm not impressed. Money will drive the game we love over the edge one of these days, if it hasn't already?
That's my biggest concern how do we get cheap trains and the like with late fixture changes this isn't a good move for football despite the money
