This is one of those interesting facts.
This season
The first 15 league matches = 35 points at an average of 2.33 points per match
The next 16 league matches = 26 points at an average of 1.62 points per match.
If we average the same 1.62 points over the next 15 matches, we will acquire 85 points which ought to be enough.

So a decline of 0.71 pts per game.
If that decline was repeated and we get 0.91 from the 15 matches we will end up on 74 pts even less than the 78 pts I predicted

Strewth, so we are going to average less than a point per game now, and start losing left right and centre?

For every win we get, we will lose two.

If we win three and draw one, we will lose six.

Is this really what you think is going to happen to this side to end up with the kind of form them at result in 74 or 78 points?

3 home games need to be ruthlessly won if we have hopes of promotion as Pompey are closing in fast and have the easiest of run ins

We currently have 1 point more than last season. In games 33-37 last season we picked up 4 points. IF we can pick up at least 7 points from the next 3 games we will be in a much better position than last year. We then have 2 aways. Mansfield are on a decent run but this has been achieved against mainly team in the bottom half with an away win at Barnet their stand out result. Wycombe who 6 games ago I thought were a real threat have lost 5 in a row and are in free fall .
