Not a Good Friday and little here to inspire belief of an improvement

The result means you are just two points above the relegation zone with three games to go, and Barnsley to come in just a couple of days' time. What can you change between now and then?

DA: Well, we have to be more clinical and we have to defend better. It's not something that you can work on in that short space of time.

The players have to take responsibility. They are in a situation where they have got to believe that they can keep a clean sheet and get goals.[\quote]

To be honest... given that Adams doesn’t think he can do anything about the team’s weaknesses in the time available but the club needs to do SOMETHING to try to fight their way out of the pit they are in I think the Board should bite the bullet, sack Adams and his management team now, put David Fox and Gary Sawyer (senior pros) in charge for the remaining games and tell them to get on with it. SOMETHING needs to be done to put a massive electric shock through the club before Monday and I can’t see what other options there are.
(It’s like when Leicester City sacked Ranieri, something which, at the time, I thought was EXACTLY the right thing to do because it was the ONLY thing they could do to try to make a difference).

oh my word.derek said "defending better is not something you can work on in a short space of time"

Surely he's had all season to work on the basics like defending and scoring.

But as we were told by the chairman, results aren't important.

Yes. Defenders not heading out set pieces is not something DA can do for them. If he tells them to mark certain players and they have lapses of concentration, at some point the players have to take responsibility. We were completely in control today and decided to let them have two free goals. So frustrating. The Edwards and Sarvevic misses were massive.

Jones dragged out of position, then ASB doesn’t follow his man.
Byrne has a free-header, because one of the defenders weren’t concentrating.
Canavan individual mistake.

The only way in which Derek could’ve of prevented these goals, would’ve of been to recruit better quality players – but this unlikely with his budget. Defence must begin to take responsibility, despite Derek sounding like a stuck record.

I think Adams has done his best and of that there is no doubt, but if Argyle have even an ounce of ambition for next season, he has to go. He won't though, as we will accept what is served up, as if not you are a yob. Sad times for our club.

I would be interested in seeing what they have been working on all bloody season. This is a joke now. I have always been behind Adams but not any more, he has shifted the blame to the players and taken no responsibility upon himself. Also with that, it appears he has chucked the towell too.

Sounds like a man on his last legs. He and the players will hopefully work hard as they won't want a relegation on their CV but then it's all change.

There must be some hope, if a lowly team like Wigan can play away at Leeds, an auto promotion chaser, have a man sent off after only 17 minutes, yet nevertheless cross back over the Pennines with 3 points under their belt.. Argyle need a casino moment like that at home to Barnsley

I’d had enough of this buffoon’s after-match bollocks ages ago but today’s diatribe really takes the biscuit.

Not enough time?! What the f**k have you been doing since July?!?!?!

I have probably been one of Adams biggest and longest serving critics on here, however I would never question that he was never trying his best or doing what he genuinely was for the best of the club. It’s just sadly his best isn’t good enough. Even during his successful stints, his best has felt like it should have/could have been slightly better.
