And can’t get through to box office. Why don’t the phone lines have a queuing system ?

It’s not exactly first come first served if it’s a lottery getting through is it.
Whether first come first served was fair in the first place is another argument altogether.

I don't think it is first come, first served for renewing season tickets? As I understood it, if you were a season ticket holder in 19/20 you would be eligible to renew your season ticket up to the 14th August. As capacity will be limited once matches start it's the availability of match tickets that will be first come, first served to season ticket holders in the first instance.

Just renewed 2 adults, 2 children with no issues other than having to log in to 4 separate online accounts and do 4 transactions!

Unless I've got it wrong, GoGo, my understanding is that there is a 'first come first served' situation for existing season ticket holders. Put simply, if 6,000 renew their tickets and the government-imposed limit for a match at Home Park is only 5,000, then the first 5,000 who bought tickets from 10.00am today will be allowed in and the other 1,000 will be given iFollow passes to watch at home. I'm open to correction on that.

I've had no problem (smooth as anything) renewing my own ticket online but as my daughter has only recently registered an online account - despite having bought season tickets for many seasons, including 2019/20 - the system doesn't recognise her and won't allow 'renewal'. I've been trying to phone on her behalf all morning, so far, but get the same message, 'we can't take your call - go online' over and over. Very strange that there is no queueing facility...

Just looked online and it’s showing that I don’t have any active memberships. I’ve been a season ticket holder for over 20 years.

It's whoever gets served first today and in the coming days that will be allowed into matches.
Phone lines close at 2pm!

Sorry! Now I've re-read the press release I think you're right - hope everyone that wants to renew is able to go ahead.

I've had the same problem. My renewal was easy because I've used the online system before to renew my ST but my partner has recently registered online to renew her ST but the system doesn't recognise her because she has no online ticketing history. It seems the staff at the ticket office have to manually link her ST to her online account and with only phone lines and online available to renew ST I would imagine there's a lot fans in this exact same situation.

A bit of forward planning and an announcement from the club would have helped a lot of fans registering online for the first time.

For those having problems with linked accounts. If the other accounts in your network do not have individual email addresses, they will not show or be available to renew.

Please call the ticket office on 01752 907700 who will be able to renew and sort for future purchases

It is impossible to get thru on the phone

I’ve had issues with online and the phone, But to blame Argyle is not on, it’s the platform provider who’s to blame, not Argyle! Just think before you press send.

Be patient people!

I dialled and redialled for an hour and forty minutes and now I'm finally in the queue - number 50!

PL2 3DQ wrote: This was always going to be a perfect storm - no football for months and fans keen to get a season ticket, announcing a first come, first served option created panic, an online system that's never been reliable in the past, a phone system that is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions, no face-to-face renewals at the box office and apart from the argyletickets twitter account which is struggling there is nowhere to go for advice.

The first come, first served system to watch games has created too much panic.
A better way was to allow everyone to buy season tickets over a two or three week period, no rush, and then conduct a raffle or lottery to allow fans into Home Park under a limited capacity.

What seems like a bit of ‘typical Argyle’ is that they have created this feeling of panic by the first come first serve message and then apparently having a reduced number of staff working and saying phone lines are only open between 10 to 2, Monday to Wednesday.
Not very customer focused.

22,000 calls in two hours apparently...... :/

Not sure if it will help but try online through a mobile phone, that's what I did with mine and it went through first time no bother.
