Good short corner routine from Mayor, fantastic pass from Cooper (a misdirected shot going wide) and Backinson sneaked in far post to volley in from close range.

Looking at the replay it looked nothing like a misdirected cross, just a well executed routine.

Newport are better than Stevenage and their 33 has Sawyer all ends up when Cooper is not deep. Living dangerously at the end of the half.

We have had our chances and the front 2 are giving options. Danny Mayor playing well going forward and Matt (blimey he has grown up since playing for us) has been kept quiet by Cana.
