well it is known as the MOANFLOWER STAND so perhaps the howls and shrieks are the ghostey and ghoulies or is it just the old codgers who sit there ??

I detected a baleful influence when I was there recently--it wasn't entirely negative--I think I could detect an underlying sense of humour. I could just about make out some initials carved into the seat. Difficult to read but I think it was BG------

Best view in the house.

Never understood people preferring Lyndhurst, especially if it's a sunny afternoon.
Yep, more than offsets the wooden seating.

With improved facilities it'll be by far the best place to be.

One thing on the toilets. I agree they're not the best but oh what a view looking out to sea and over to Mount Edgecombe. I hope they retain the view.

Evil spirits?, utter bunkem.

The most filthy, raggardy arsed toilets I've ever seen.

At least we use them!
Whilst standing on the 'Kippax' at Maine road, with a City supporting mate of mine, I remember seeing a stream of urine flow past my feet!

Bristol Rovers, Exeter City and Colchester United (away ends) are far far worse.

You haven’t used the Fratton Park away end loos before their “refit” then?
Or the 'shallow end' at Underhill

Lace holes? ... it would've overtopped waders at Big@Barnet.

Thankfully Underhill also had a terrace with a gully down the back of it. Why risk bog snorkelling after a lengthy queue for a tiny urinal when there's a giant forty metre one at the top of the terrace.

The Ordnance Survey could've mapped the yellow river of Barnet that day

Newport County on a Tuesday night bliddy yonks ago! So long ago, it was a league match! ;)

Bogs were down about 6 steps, it was absolutely p***ing down. Whole block was flooded to about three feet! Everyone just stood on the top step and peed into the maelstrom as it got stormier and stormier and the yellow foam soared like a Ghostbuster's extra!!

Oh I love the English (Well Welsh too) football league!! :nworthy:

Most uncomfortable and smelly view in the house. I cant stand it in the old stand. It will be interesting when the stand is refirbed.

Always has been the Demporr for me even in the old stand. I have only sat in the main stand when tsking up the hospitality :)

Even a complete neutral agrees the grandstand has the best seat in the house...
