Plymuff, D'em!
It is indeed.

Thought he looked a bit nervous, and made a couple of mistakes. But, as the game went on, he looked more comfortable and made a lovely through pass for McLean's goal.

Get him signed on I say!

The trouble with 'best bits' is that you have no idea of the quality/standing of the opposition. One could almost say that that if Laurent's team's opposition looked the standing of Truro City if you judged them alone from their stadium.

A couple of days after John Carver joins Sheffield United, there's suddenly money in the pot to finally sign Manuel. Who'd have thought it?

A good signing - the specialist RB we've so obviously been needing.

Welcome to the madhouse, Laurent!

I think I might reserve judgement for the time being.
Hope you are right mind you!

Saw it on his Facebook earlier, decided not to post to protect his privacy. Plus there's nothing like jumping the gun!

It's not often you see the words "protect", "facebook" and "privacy" in the same sentence.

Indeed, guess the players have to expect it making friends with fans and giving them access to what they're up to.

Facebook can be as private and restricted as you want, providing you know what you're doing. Otherwise yeah, they default to put it all out in the open.

Back to Manuel, I think he could do the job for us given half a chance. Await the official link 8)

I still haven't seen anything to say he has signed, anybody know if he has? It would be good to have an experienced RB in the squad.

????

He's a nomadic young man who seems to have spent the last few years trawling around the world looking for a club, hardly experienced.

If he's so good why didn't we sign him sooner?? Injuries / finances blah blah blah.
If he was a quality prospect we'd have snapped him up quicker, if he's here to make up the numbers we could get a loanee instead.

funny mood today,

Picking the bones out of what you've just said, it sounds like we didn't offer him a deal that was financially attractive enough to make him leap at the chance of signing it, but nobody else has come in and offered him anything any better so he's on the way in.

I don't see it as a bad thing if we're not offering a king's ransom and - particularly in the current climate where many clubs are trimming their squads and working with smaller budgets - just because no-one else was 'in' for him doesn't mean that he isn't any good.

I mean, I could be wrong here but I don't recall a massive amount of competition to sign David Friio at the time.

One of the good things about playing in a lower league is that it becomes much, much more likely that we will unearth a real quality player for next-to-nothing. Drew's example of David Friio is a good one - we'd never have plucked an unknown player from the ether and ended up with them being a club legend while we were in the Championship.

Still no news on this that I have seen.

How long before it moves to Rumours? Thought the rule was it needed a link to be on this Board.

Tbh, Seip, Timar and Halmosi were all pretty much unheard of and were fanstastic for us in the CCC- cost an aggregate £500k which is nothing in that league.
