Agree with Cobi that a top 10 finish would show improvement and progression. I would prefer to wait to see the summer signings before deciding if that is realistic or not.

Ditto. Progress or not depends on the players we have. I think recruitment is one of the areas where we are really poor though so I'm not that enthused about next season. Couple that with the poor tactical knowledge and I'm even more uncertain that we'll be able to compete at the top half of the table.

If Lowe can put an experienced, strong defensive line up together than I may start feeling a bit better. Time will tell.

A selection of managers we will probably face next season. The problem isn’t just the budget. The problem isn’t just getting good players. The problem is our manager tactically out smarting these type of managers at this level.

When Lowe picks the team, we haven’t seen any signs of in game management to change the course of a game. Only Lincoln, which was very lucky as if you saw the second half they had enough great chances to bury us when they 3-2 up.

I’m not sure how we improve if he can’t tactically get better during games. We are talking 44 league games so far and only one turn around in the score line.

That’s the problem. Look at his system and tactics. Only reverted to a 4ATB out of desperation. It wasn’t a great tactical master ploy he had been working on. Look how he has used Reeves this season. We needed at times to change things and he puts him on often when the game has gone.

This is the problem.

Some people are saying things like "We will sort it out in the Transfer Window, that's what the Window is for". It's as if there's a long queue of strong, experienced, pacey, ball-playing, sea air -loving, Exeter-hating, leadership- material Centre Backs at the top of the M5, waiting for the call. And a huge wad of cash this end, waiting to greet them, assuming Lowe is able to choose the right ones.

I'm hoping for the best, but it's not going to be easy.

I will be waiting to see who walks through the door before predicting where we will finish next season- COVID will dictate the finances of the majority of clubs in league 1 so it might be more of a level playing field when it comes to signing free agents

I am hoping whoever walks through the door is an upgrade on who has departed & has more about them with regard to nous & mentality

With regard to RL & his tactics maybe he can enrol in a Summer School that specialises in improving tactical knowledge or how to think out of the box

We maybe able to have an upgrade of a player but does that mean an upgrade in RLs skillset

Pompey appear to have two managers from your list, how does that work?
