Fact is because John Back says all conditions have been met, does not mean Plymouth City Council believe that all the pre conditions have been met. If they had been, we could have had an "all systems go" announcement from Argyle.

The article you've clearly not read":2cbx626v said:
With the important, stadium-specific ‘pre-commencement’ conditions of the project now all satisfied to an appropriate standard, it really is all systems go

Try reading it?

Personally, I have found it and the associated applications a riveting experience.

2 quick points:

1. There its no update on the PCC planning portal in respect of Condition 19. This happens sometimes but you would expect to see it documented early next week at the latest.

2. Jon, who I have known for a long time now is normally very precise with language. So, I though this was the case when he wrote "stadium-specific ‘pre-commencement’. This may or may not pertain to the fact application 17/01684/OUT was a Hybrid application, which also included the proposed ice rink and outline permission for what is being called the Western gateway.

I may have missed it, but still no news on signing up the main contractor. This clearly impinges on the new changing rooms and supporters bar, let alone the Grandstand.

Whatever the delay, be it planning or otherwise I would hope that work will proceed with some speed now so that it is ready for the start of season 2019/20.

So the drainage 'disaster' is not a disaster then Tony?

I too share your worries about a contract not being signed though.

Will that be the next target for the NAGS do you think?

Highways........parking...........drainage..................

I still can't forget the trees and slow worms though.

It pales very quickly when you do over 100 per year Tony.

Not sure Ive ever used the word disaster

I must have been out of the country for trees and slow worms.

But all I would like to see is good old fashioned progress.

As I said earlier, Jon B is normally very precise in his language, so when he uses the phrase "stadium specific" rather than the more encompassing "planning application" I think it says a great deal.

Hopefully a step in the right direction.

I didn’t for one minute say you did Tony.

As for ‘stadium specific’ that’s surely all we care about isn’t it?

The slow worm comment was that I was told by a member of the FoCP board that a person whose name rhymes with Dick Head offered to plant some slow worms outside on the BPE to stop the first lot of planning permissions (cinema etc). I laughed it off at the time as someone stirring it but I’m not so sure now.

Anyways, whatever happens I trust this board to do what is best for PAFC.

So “ All systems go” doesn’t necessarily mean “ All systems go” unless it’s announced. Apart from the development area which other part of the club’s website should be used to give notice that now “ All systems are go” ?

No issues with Parking Mr Newell, one area of worry can be knocked off the list

Pre permission given Darren, it was THE hot potatoe. We had the cabal writing in from all over the country saying that the parking was grossly miscalculated.

Read their letters, they were amazingly similar. If I was a cynical man I’d think that someone who knew his way around such things had created a loose template for them to use.

Luckily I’d never think such a thing.

Um, my thoughts however after I had a bit of a look see and a plan that was suitable for all the green light was very quickly given

Putting it mildly being economical with the truth, it’s a sham at HP.

I hope you mentioned this to JB when you and Oddball chatted to him at Torquay then!
