Randell playing for Torquay in National League Play Offs

Being totally selfish, wouldn't it be better for us if they stay down? Would a league 2 team want our youth players?

Agreed. Randell might make the step up to League Two but not many others would.

I’d say the opposite. If we are to
Have an excellent academy we need somewhere higher than national league to be able to send our loan players. We’ve got a good relationship and history with Torquay to do welll for both clubs. It also wouldn’t hurt to have a local pre-season friendly against a L2 team either.

Considering our first team is literally only 6 points above being a League Two team, I would say it is fanciful to consider League Two the ideal level for our youth team prospects to go and cut their teeth. How decent do you think our academy is?

If Torquay wanted to stay in the Football League, they wouldn’t be building their team around Finley Craske, Brandon Pursall and Jarvis Cleal.

Anyone know when Torquay are playing their match in the playoffs?? - I’d quite like to watch to see how Randell plays..

As they'll finish second they'll be playing the winners of 5th v 6th on 12th June at 1200. Win that one and they'll play the final on 20th June at 2pm.
