I reckon if you stick £20 million in, you can call it bleddy baseball if you want.

I wonder what his advice would be now ? Run away while you still can !

You could forgive Mr Hallett for regretting his decision to invest given where we are at the moment.

Could be inferred Hallets want out...based on the tweet.
I see what you mean guess but I don't think it infers that at all. Rather he's happy to have a friendly chat with someone based in the same corner of the world about to embark on a similar journey to one he is 2+ years into.

Now you put it like that yes thats probably a fairer interperetation.

Surely it should be Association Football?

Or soccer for short. I really don’t see the issue. Go on Bet 365 they call it soccer for clarity. My father who was a good football player and never played rugby called it soccer. People do get precious sometimes.

I thought it was just a cheeky little throwaway comment/tweet. I didn't read anything major into it any which way. I suspect that if Simon Hallett WAS seriously looking for someone to but into the club or he WAS seriously trying to hook the potential Wrexham buyers in for a discussion or WAS seriously suggesting that he wanted out of the club then he wouldn't do it with a few words in a tweet!

Word soccer dates back to England, shortly after the Laws of the Game were written and Football Association was formed, in 1863, London.

Over the next few years, English people shortened the Football Association into Assoccer for short, and pretty quickly Assoccer was shortened even more to be called simply Soccer.

Legend has it that Charles Wredford Brown, an Oxford student during the time of first Football Association, was the first person to use the word Soccer.

When friends asked him if he’d come play a game of Rugger (nickname for Rugby), to which Charles replied he preferred to play Soccer instead.

We can Phil. Rugby types call it soccer, that’s what winds me up about the name. Ours is the pure game theirs is a derivative.

Now get back on your shooting stick and support the Chiefs.

Not to be confused with the late Burt, I hope?

Now Richard Reynolds, he was a star!! :nworthy:

Used to be that Kenneth More and Alec Guinness were film actors.
Humphrey Bogart and Marilyn Monroe were 'Hollywood stars'.

When Ryan has made as many good films as More and Guinness I'll acknowledge that he is a decent film actor.
A long way to go to be a Hollywood Star.
Just my opinion obviously but not a fan of 'Dead Poo' or whatever it was. ;)
