The Play Off race (and bets placed)

As someone else touched on, yesterday was massive as they are a form team but also because the number of teams with games in hand on us where they could overtake us if they won them is now...zero. For the first time we have complete control of our destiny.

I agree it was massive but Rovers' form has been patchy with 2 losses, 2 draws and one win in the last 5. Like you say though, the win was important as it's now in our hands.

My cash out has gone down over £200 since yesterday at 700pm what do the bookies know?

Same, mine has gone down £44. Looked at the odds and we’ve gone from 5/4 to 11/8 over night. Where as Peterborough have gone from 11/8 to 5/4, rather odd although the bookies may have made a mix up with the post match odds?

Forgive me if previously mentioned on this long thread, but it strikes me as important we finish 5th and not 6th. This is to ensure we don’t find ourselves facing either Blackburn, Wigan or Shrewsbury, which ever finishes 3rd.

Play-off semi-final B will be played on Saturday 12th and Wednesday 16th May.

It hasn't been confirmed yet which is semi-final A or B. Either 3rd plays 6th place or 4th plays 5th.

The lower team of the two ties plays at home first. So if we finish in 5th or 6th place we will be at home either on Thursday 10th May or Saturday 12th May. All games will be televised, kick-off times still to be confirmed.

Peterborough have shorter odds than us to get to the play offs. This is really hard to understand.

Regarding the cash out sums, I think the bookies set them after the game and then they get adjusted according to how much is bet/cashed out. They are always different the following day.

Oh please. We will be back in the relegation zone if games in hand are won. I do agree there is an upturn and the form guide reads a lot better but we are not out of the mire. Another 10 game run like this one and we can relax a little.

Me & Mrs Pogle are attending the Chelsea Flower Show on the Wednesday (I think) staying in London to see Little Miss Pogle and her fiancé man and travelling home on Saturday. Final is the Sunday (30th) I believe? :doh:

I can’t see Scunthorpe accumulating that many points. If Bradford fail to win tonight, I think they’re also out of the running.
