Thanks for those posts by Swilly and Demport. An insight to the period just before I started going, which I was totally unaware of. The sign of a good manager, who is prepared to break up a decent side, although he obviously wasn’t able to keep Davey happy. Then the loss of Mariner AND Rafferty saw the beginning of the end and a painful downward spiral, with some very good times in between the bad.

Still, onwards and upwards now under Simon Hallett and Ryan Lowe. :scarf:

Andre Blackman might not be the greatest player, but he must have some agent, hardly ever plays a game but always gets a club!

In my time of supporting, the worst debut has to go to Taribo West! I was so excited he signed for us at the time, what with him being one of my favourite players on CM 01/02 for years and years. I think the debut was at home to Hull, he was absolutely all over the place; he had no concept of positional awareness and also picked up a clumsy booking! It was a very sad trip home, given we lost 1-0 and my CM hero was a let down in real life!

I remember Taribo getting off the team coach at Buckland athletic.

I said to my pal "Kev, he can't even walk"...
