Yes it is an old chestnut because he is the answer. He's 'semi-retired' - he wouldn't have been talking to Forest last week if he didn't still have the bug. He lives just down the road and loves the club.

It all makes sense but obviously the sticking point is Sheridan's contract and the cost of paying him off. I think it would be worth pushing the boat out for but it's not my money is it?

Argyle have the 'chosen one' on their doorstep.

Considering he turned down Forest who'd have a bigger budget than us, a better history, a bigger fanbase, a better chance at success and a higher wage I'm not sure he'd come to us anyway, despite it being close to home.

The reason he turned Forest down suggest he's still got plenty of fight in him. I'd have him over Sheridan every time.

He loves Argyle. He always talks about us when he's on TV and called us 'my club'. I'm sure he would love to manage us as he also loves the house he has down here too!

The reason he turned Forest down suggest he's still got plenty of fight in him. I'd have him over Sheridan every time.

Possibly, I'm not sure he'll even take another managers job again, He said he was looking for something 3 or 4 days a week (some may argue that's about what our current manager does).

He turned down Forest because he and the Forest owner Fawaz al-Hasawi, wouldn't be able to work together. From what I heard the owner would be very much hands on.
