Warnock is a great manager but coming to the end of his career while Adams is still relatively young but has proved to be a good manager. To get back to the thread- either Adams is keeping the fanbase happy by saying he is still looking when really he isn't, or he has been let down by players rejecting the club, or he has a few people lined up. The past two weeks he has been very open with the press which is out of character. It is early days and he has delivered in the past but this is in a higher league although he must know what he is doing do you think?

Well I can't see any clues or mysterious anagrams at all in this post...
The first letter of every third word produces an anagram.

He must be Sri Lankan at that rate,ho ho. Their cricketers tend to have surnames 3 miles long.

Which is why he isn't our manager, he couldn't operate in these conditions.

It's why DA is a perfect fit for us, and is a better manager than Warnock for it.

You think Adams has proved himself a better manager than Warnock?

Nor what's being said, Warnock is clearly more experienced and successful but Adams is a better fit for us at the mo.

IMO DA not in the same league as Warnock in more ways than one.
NW more experienced, has bigger budget and managed at a higher level

Zackly. Words were being put in my mouth there.

It'd be a frikkin disaster right now were Warnock in charge, divisive comments and falling out with the board most probably followed by a flounce.

We need a DA, not a Colin, right now.

Would agree. Although Warnock's spell in charge was a classic 'what if' Argyle moment. After the euphoria of Wembley had we have secured Barry Hayles, Mark Kinsella and Dean Kiely as he wanted we could have really pushed on. However for the here and now, trust in Adams to squeeze the best out of the budget.

But that's him to a tee...he wanted what we couldn't afford.

Derek gets on with things as they are in the real world, not as they are in Utopia.

Oh those were the days as well. If I remember rightly we had agreed terms with Kiely snd Kinsella (he was immense) but Uncle Dan pulled the plug. Probably rightly because of the wages but we supporters didnt see it that way at the time. That team would havecreally stepped on if those 3 had joined. What ifs I know but they all played prem football after this.

It does now very much look like the player Adams was talking about was indeed Josh Wright

http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/f ... new-452755

To me this just furthers speculation that Adams has been feeding the media with more and more stories of players that he's tried to sign but missed out on to deflect criticism away from the signings that he has made, because literally as soon as Josh Wright cancelled his contract at Gillingham the entire football community knew instantly that he was going down the road to Southend, hell he did an interview pretty much begging Phil Brown, and anyone that knows anything about the Wright family would know that he'd probably even prefer to drop down a league or 2 before before moving away from Essex.

This move was never ever going to happen in my opinion, which raises questions around the motive for Adams making it so public, which until recently would have been very much out of character for him.

This totally. he is comfortably off, has all his family around him in Essex, why would he want to move to Plymouth?

According to BBC football no transfers since Friday so it appears the free agent DA has been after hasn't actually signed for any club yet.

No but reading DA's comments yesterday, it looks as if the player has told him he's not coming here.

It's very much worth remembering that was the media know and what those within football know are in completely different time frames.
