Another win. We now sit on 38 points.

47 points to go... 16 wins needed.

Something which we failed to achieve from a similar stage last season, it's just fortunate that history never repeats itself...

From reading the match day thread, why were some people so delighted that Doncaster beat Exeter, it's so small-minded and parochial.

No doubt the same people were pleased that Newport beat Carlisle, so where is the logic?

On the theme of this thread, surely the more points our close rivals drop, the better it is for us?

11 wins and a draw.

We've got this.

How many points we get in February will go a long way to determine our season. We have Cambridge, Hartlepool and Luton away and Exeter home.

Tough games. Exeter are flying at the moment so we need to put a stop to that=3 points we owe Luton a kicking from the first match of the season=3points Hartlepool away iam confident of a result=3 points Cambridge away could be tricky=1 point. I make that ten points. Easy peasy.

That does look a tough February, but it will be tough for our opponents too. They might be games where we might have to settle for 4 to 6 points from 4 games but it is the total pointage at the end that matters nothing else. Points required to go up varies from season to season but logically 85 should be our worst case scenario meaning we need about 8th/9th place form for the rest of the season to reach that target.

All the players can do is try to win every game.
But look what happened last season- things can go wrong ! There's still 60 points to play for.
The bookmakers still think that Portsmouth will finish ahead of Argyle.

I hope the board can finance a couple of QUALITY signings, Not other team's rejects.

It has been commented on how difficult our away run in is. The flip side of that is the home run is relatively easy - on paper! 6 home wins out of 9 and a point a game away may just about be enough. Doesnt sound that difficult.
