Because we play the same poo tactics at home that you do. 1 striker!!
The difference between our crowds apart from the obvious numbers is that we sing when we go behind. Yesterday when your team needed you and as reported by your own live reaction feed on the herald and vital Plymouth, the green army had gone quiet.
Shall we sing a song for you!
Home support was noticeably very quiet when they went behind yesterday. Perked up only when they scored. Fratton noise is a myth.

Enjoyed watching two pumps getting their faces pushed against a brick wall whilst being handcuffed by the old bill after the game. Made the journey worth it...

I've always liked Portsmouth as a club, a decent stadium with a great atmosphere and like us a club with tradition and history.
We both shared financial woes, although Pompey's credit card had a bigger maximum limit than ours and Pompey were able to have Premier League and FA Cup success whereas our credit card stretched to fourth in the Championship for a brief moment before it all came tumbling down for both clubs.

But the sour reaction from the Pompey fans on Pasoti and elsewhere after yesterday's game is slowly turning me, and I guess others, from having a soft spot for PFC.

That play-off defeat has really left a bitter feeling amongst the Pompey fans.

Chaps, can we stop baiting the Pompey fans, it's just not on. They gave it a good go yesterday, it's not their fault that they came pumped up hoping to show the wider audience that they were capable of getting within a point of us with only 4 of 46 games remaining. It meant so much to them to think they can match us in the League, and but for a Luke error in front of their understanding fans, it could have been even worse for them and cheering on a team that could possibly displace them would have required even more dedication.

It's not their fault that despite having the best attendances in the League, they couldn't get anymore in because despite being in the Premier League, winning the FA Cup etc, etc, none of the riches that came with that were invested properly into their 'traditional' ground.

So, lets be nice please.

Pompey fans are woeful.

Oooh, we've got a corner!
"Play up Pompey! Pompey play up!"

Ten minutes later....

Blue army

I've been to Pompey so many times, it's only ever the same two chants from 'the best fans in the lower leagues'.

I like following Argyle, new songs season on season, there's twenty or more on the go in any one match. :scarf:

Exactly, no real noise until they scored. Apart from the hilarious bell :)

There were plenty of seats available. So contrary to popular belief they didn't sell out.

It was sold out at home weeks ago!
I took over 600 photos yesterday. You obviously had fans who didn't bother going then. The North and South stands.
