The strength and composure of Heather and Holly were a fitting tribute to Sparksy on their own. A one of the likes of which will never be seen again. R.I.P. Sir Gordon.

I'm not a particularly emotional person but that just got me big time today.... I don't know where or when it might happen but it is written in the stars that a late goal, sealing a 2-0 win is going to get us over the line this season....

Was an amazing ceremony he would have been proud and humbled bless him. All the contributors were amazing but his immediate family received a deserved standing ovation.

Wonderful service, very emotional. So pleased with fact we could applaud, being in the ground, something not often done at a church service. Some stand out ‘funny’ comments by the speakers epitomising Sparksy’s humour.

I never understood people when they said “what a lovely funeral” but today really was. Got very emotional during Holly’s poem, I blinked and the lady next to me had a tissue for me ready. Nice to see some old familiar faces there too. RIP sparksy,

I thought his families speeches were incredible. As someone who lost their own father this year god knows how much strength that must've taken to deliver on a big stage like today. Gordon would be very proud.

Was very worried that it would be an 'event' but it was very classy.
