Craven was a very good player who could play in either position, think he also played as a striker in his early days. He definitely started as a midfielder at Argyle [scored on debut IIRC], then dropped back to become a very effective centre back before he moved to Vancouver to join Tony Waiters. Believe he passed away some years ago sadly.
