I think the fact that Argyle's pitch is narrower than that at Anfield will help Argyle to defend against what will be a narrower attacking Liverpool. Having said that, I think Argyle will need to be again ultra disciplined to get a positive result tonight. Should Argyle open up more as an attacking force, I think Liverpool will take advantage and it is likely to be a 0-3 scoreline, regrettably.

Valiant 0-1 (Sturridge).

The Smith injury gives DA a real headache.

As far as I can see, there are two line-up possibilities:

McCormick

Threlkeld
Bulvitis
Bradley
Purrington

Songo'o
Fox

Jervis
Carey
Slew

Garita

... OR...

Jervis
Tanner
Slew

I agree. It's a choice between Bully and Tanner really. Assuming we don't name two keepers on the bench, the other 5 subs are Sawyer, Rooney, Bentley, Fletcher and Palfrey. Everyone else unavailable.

Maybe he'll play Purrington in midfield and bring in Sawyer at left back, or Songo in midfield with Bulvitas in the back four. Can't see him starting Tanner.

If Coutinho starts or even comes on at half time then I don't think our previous tactics will be able to keep them at bay. I think 0-2 Liverpool.

There is no shame on defeat, I just hope we can make a game of it and do ourselves proud.
