I'm getting the feeling no-one wants to start getting excited about promotion. Last season left some deep scars, I can appreciate that. For me I have been worried about giving this lead away for the last couple of months, my cup more 'half empty' than 'half full'. However, we have four more points than this point last season, there are fewer teams breathing down our necks.
I'm beginning to believe we'll actually do it! Everyone of you that is taking one game at a time will feel this excitement growing before we actually achieve promotion. That's where I'm at now. Promotion seasons are rare, I'll be savouring every point gained. Coyg's!

Useful if only to see that Oxford were 1 point behind where we are currently but only secured promotion on the last day. Still some twists and turns to come!

However, they won their last 3 remaining games giving them 86 points.
Bristol Rovers and Accrington finished on 85. Bristol Rovers added another 23 points over 9 games = 2.5 points
Accrington added another 25 points over 10 games = 2.5 points
Both great finishes. If Luton averaged this they would finished on 83.
Argyle need 5 wins from 9 for promotion as the worst case scenario!
2.5 points per game is freakishly good, i can't see that happening again *fingers crossed*.
