There is a difference between reasons and excuses. The reason we can't buy our way out of the league, the reason we're signing Torquay's former goalie coach and a player rejected by relegated Rovers, the reason we sold our best player is that we can't afford to do otherwise and we live, continually, under the threat of an imposed second administration.

To call that an excuse, to ignore that as being part of our reality is to bury one's head in the sand.

We've done the best with what we've got, in no way shape or form does that guarantee promotion and no-one should expect that.
