It was a limited crowd today ... and crowds banned from tomorrow for the remainder of the meeting, according to Doncaster's director of public health.

Matt Hancock was asked this morning how the new rules might effect test events. He was non committal and said Boris will outline how it will impact upcoming plans later today.

The St Ledger cancelling the rest of the planned events this week is not a good sign.

Optimism for being allowed in October has diminished a lot today.

I would 'hope' that the rational they are using for pubs and restaurants, 'they are in a govt approved covid secure environment' and not a house party, might drift in to their thinking on sports events as well but who knows.

As with anything these days, i guess until we are sat in a seat, best not get too excited.

The rationale for continuing to allow pubs and restaurants should surely mean that hospitality packages within a covid secure environment, combined with viewing a game of football from a socially distanced seat is allowed? Not a massive income but atleast something clubs can look to capitise on.

Sadly, I think he can move them wherever he wants, the ball is still going to end up in the back of the net.

The ‘goal posts’ are exactly where they were when I made my pledge in May. I’m sure IJN has it safely filed away.
£100 if no crowds by end of year, £200 if none by end of March.

On a related point on the lack of fans, a number of clubs said last season they would not survive if they had to play matches and there was no gate revenue.

Given today's announcement of a review of the intention to let fans return to stadiums next month, that could be the situation they face albeit with some revenue generated by i follow.

Will we see clubs going bust or taking further measures to reduce expenditure?

Feel fairly confident that we are in good shape, but, we also know there is no more money coming from our chairman and his wife. The game with Spurs and a Sky audience could provide a small financial boost. What's the prize money for getting to Round 3?

Last season round 3 teams got 10k each. Don't know if they've upped it this season.

5k for the 1st round and 7k for reaching round 2. So we've got 12k in the bank.

I've no idea when crowds will come back but the current deterioration in the Covid-19 situation is real and a worry. None of us mere mortals know what Argyles finances are really like but recently I've got the impression from players signed, etc. that there must be a fair degree of optimism. It does concern me though to see money spent on posts such as statistical analysts. They might be a small thing in the overall scheme of things but if fans are asked again at some point to put their hands into their pockets to help get the Club through this you might wonder if they are just a bit of a luxury at this time.
